What do I need to bring to my consultation appointment?

Your x-ray, your DDS referral note, your dental insurance information, your preferred payment method of payment (Visa, MasterCard, Direct Debit or cash).

Do I need a referral?

No. However, in order to properly manage your dental care, it is recommended that your dentist is aware of your need and submits a referral on your behalf.

What do I need to bring to my surgical appointment?

You will be given all the pertinent details at your consultation appointment.
Most importantly, you will need a responsible person to escort you home.

Will my insurance cover the expense?

Only those specialty services that qualify for coverage under your specific plan will be refunded to you directly by your insurance company.

How do I pay?

We accept full payment of services at the time they are rendered.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit and Cash (we do not accept personal or company cheques).

Do I need to submit to my insurance plan on my own?

No, we will do all the paperwork for you so that you will receive a timely refund for the services you have paid for.

Is there a surgeon on call after hours?

Yes, we have 24 hour emergency service with a surgeon on-call.

Just call either office line and the answering service will alert the surgeon on-call.

Please explain the nature of your emergency to the operator and leave your name, phone number, date of surgery and which surgeon treated you.

The on-call surgeon will do his best to respond within 2 to 4 hours.

What if I have a concern regarding my treatment?

You may call the office and ask that the surgeon return your call to discuss your post-operative concerns.

If you have other concerns that you prefer to express confidentially then you may email the General Manager at manager@westcoastoralsurgery.ca

As each patient has unique surgery needs, individual fees are determined by the surgeon at the time of consultation for treatment. We request payment for office services at the time they are provided.

If applicable, we are pleased to submit your insurance claim form upon completion of treatment. Your Dental Insurance carrier will then reimburse you directly.
